Seek True Happiness From Within

Drewbie Wilson • May 25, 2022

"True happiness comes from within. It is a state of mind. True happiness comes from the relationships that we have with others. It comes from doing things that we enjoy. It comes from being content with what we have."

Is it true that money cannot buy you happiness? Sure, having a lot of money may make some aspects of your life easier, but it cannot buy you true happiness.

True happiness comes from within. It is a state of mind. True happiness comes from the relationships that we have with others. It comes from doing things that we enjoy. It comes from being content with what we have.

While it is true that money cannot buy happiness, certain material possessions can bring joy into our lives. For example, a new car or a new home can provide us with a sense of pride and satisfaction. These things can make us happy at the moment, we get attached to these temporary things and eventually wonder why our happiness never lasts.

There is more to life than this short-term happiness and we should seek true happiness.

This is why we should invest in our relationships and our personal growth, we are more likely to find lasting happiness. We should focus on investing in these things rather than material possessions.

Growing up we always had "things" to play with.  The latest toy, game, gadget, or clothes. But as we get older we realize that these "things" don't bring lasting happiness into our lives. Not all those things were the newest or the most expensive which was fine by us. But we were happy to use our imagination and make the best of it.  My mom raised us by herself and being a single mother, she did her best and gave everything to raise 3 young men.

She even worked the third shift at the gas station while attending school full time during the day, comes home in the evening having time to help us with our homework, and does the housework before taking time to do her homework.

Mom always made sure we had anything we needed to participate. She would leave the house before sunrise and come home late into the evening almost every day of the week and yet somehow she always found time to be there and support our endeavors, whatever they might be at the time.

Her commitment to being there for us is what left the biggest impression on me, far more than any material items that we received, and sometimes even working long hours and going to lengths others are not willing to go through.

And this has been the driving force behind my efforts as a father and a family man. I want to make sure that I am always there for my family, no matter what. That is the most important thing to me and I know that is something money cannot buy.

You can have all the material possessions in the world, but if you don't have lasting relationships with others, you will never be truly happy.

It was not until we were older that we realized that money does not buy happiness. Money cannot buy happiness, but it can certainly help us to enjoy our lives a little bit more. And even though we thought we had everything we wanted, we were still unhappy. We may have had all the "things" money could buy, but we were missing something essential in our lives something that money could not buy.

What we were missing was a sense of purpose. We did not have anything to focus our attention on outside of our material possessions. And without a sense of purpose, we were never truly happy.

It was only when we started to focus on our personal growth and relationships with others that we found lasting happiness because these are the things that will bring lasting happiness into your life.

What makes you happy? Material possessions, memories, money, or relationships? If you had to choose, what would you pick? Some may pick material possessions or money or even all of the above but I believe that the relationships we have with others are the most important things in our lives.

These relationships give our lives purpose and meaning. So often we seek happiness from things outside of ourselves.

But instead, we should focus on building strong relationships with others, and focus on our personal growth because the truth is that true happiness comes from within!

Whatever it is that you strive for, make sure it leaves a lasting impression on your life and those you love. Bring change, growth, and happiness to the people you love and to others - make a huge impact that can help them see things differently and that can bring positive changes in their lives.

That is what matters the most and that is what will make you and others truly happy! Focus on what matters and live a life that will lead you to find your true happiness. This is when you can say that you have lived a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.
